I was 4 cm, 70% effaced, -1 three hours ago and my next check is in a little bit. If there's no or little progress they are going to break my waters. Lots of painful contractions and blood so I'm hoping that means my cervix is thinning and dilating. No pain meds- yet. I've thought an awful lot about an epidural but I'm going to try to push through without it.

The foley bulb or the cytotech one is really painful. And I'm bleeding everywhere. Induction is NOT pleasant, I would never choose this route.

I'm in the exact same boat today, starting pitocin in about 15 minutes or so. We can do it!! ???

Shaina you're like family. I've followed you and baby Caellums posts since first joining June moms. (NOT a stalker lol).I'm so happy you'll have him soon. No stress- and know other ladies around the world have you in their thoughts and prayers!

Also to keep you distracted from stress- my little guy is due the 8th (7 days) via c section. I'm stressed about sharing attention with my almost 2 year old. Also stressed hubby and I haven't narrowed down a name! Nathan or Jack....? Or something else...??

You got this mama! My water broke on its own with my youngest at 38 weeks but instant progressing so they had me on a pretty high dose of pitocin and I was still able to deliver my 9lb 9oz baby girl pain med free!

I know this isn't in your plan, but it's for the best. Wishing you a speedy and uneventful delivery. You are far enough along, so hopefully your lil guy won't need any extra time there. You are closer to that beer and sushi ?

Just had my doctors appointment and mine is up unfortunately my cervix is closed and high...so they're discussing csection which I instantly burst into tears! I really hope your induction goes well.

It's gonna be okay Shaina! My babies have both come due to preeclampsia. You are both safer after the baby comes so they can make sure you don't have a stroke. When you're scared just remember you'll be holding Caellum soon.

Good Luck! You are doing what you need to do for both you and your baby boy. I know it isn't the way you envisioned it happening, but you are in good hands. Kids have a funny way of mucking up all our plans. Wish I could say this would be the last time he will throw you a curve ball - But this is just the first of many!
