Virginia Anyone stationed in VA? Specifically Virginia Beach.

They also had an older lady who knitted baby hats and booties that came in and gave us a free hat, it was very sweet.

Dr Leininger was my absolute favorite obgyn. If you can get him, you'll never want a different one!

Stationed back in Norfolk now, and nothing compares to Sd! ?

I've had all three of my kids at Portsmouth. First in 2004, last born in 2010, the experiences were different but all good. The nurses were all great and took care of me well. The delivery staff was awesome the last time I was there. I had my own room each time even though it's not guaranteed. They are very well organized. They have a system down for sure. They also have a photographer that takes babies first photos. Not sure if they have that here in San Diego where I'll be having my 4th. I've heard they don't have a Lactation Consultant her in SD but they had one each time I was at Portsmouth. It's worth asking about since they may have changed something. You also picked a good place to live in VaBeach. I used to live out there. I now own a house in Portsmouth but hated the commute to Norfolk everyday. You've got everything close by you, including all the friends you and your hubby will make! No one lived or wants to come visit you in Portsmouth! LOL! Good Luck!

I like Virginia Beach, just don't like this weather recently!

We are stationed in Norfolk. Im 30 minutes from Virginia beach area.

Hubby was stationed at Dam Neck for most of his 12 years in Virginia Beach, we still have a home there (about to go on the market).

Loved the area, hated the traffic!

When's your scan? I have mine at Portsmouth naval too! Mine is February 10th

I've been going to the Dam Neck clinic. I'll have my anatomy scan at Portsmouth in a couple of weeks though, not excited about the drive!

I actually just got out after 5 years of being stationed in Virginia and I lived in Virginia Beach! I gave birth at Portsmouth and I actually had a really great experience! I went to Boone clinic for obgyn and they were great too!

I lived in va majority of my life I wanna move back I lived in Norfolk Nn and Hampton . I worked at Nn shipyard for a while

I ended up moving into a house in the Lynnhaven area of VB!

We live in northern Suffolk! Husband is stationed in Portsmouth

We've been here about 6 months and I'm 11 weeks pregnant with baby #2!

I'm actually in the process of moving! I'll be up there in a few days and have to start house hunting.

I'm in Va Beach. Have lived here for almost 5years. Husband on shore duty now.

It's a decent area. It's too crowded for my taste but VA Beach is nicer than Hampton so you're on the better side. There's a lot to do around here too.
