Stretch marks

I know they're genetic, but how much do you ladies think creams and oils really work? And which one/brand is the best?

My doctor said trying to get a lot of hydration and slow and steady weight gain will really help too! I've been doing raw mango butter everyday from boobs to butt as well.

The creams don't work I used all sorts with my first the biggest tip is eat sensibly don't gain unnecessary weight (not talking diet of course just healthy) and you will fare better on the stretch mark front. This is personal and family experience my mum doesn't have a single one after 3 children. I only got some from a pregnancy I gained more weight than needed.

Honestly I think they're just good for you in general. But stretch marks are genetic you'll get them no matter what you do and if you don't get them it's because your lucky not what your putting on you.

Well either way, I won't be ashamed of my stretch marks if/when I get them. I see fit women all the time who aren't scared to show off their stretch marks. And they're so beautiful. Tiger stripes :)

I've been using Palmers since 8 weeks. A friend is doing that, plus BioOil but already has a stretch mark (she's about 25 weeks). My mom didn't really get any stretch marks, so keeping my fingers and toes crossed for genetics to come through for me!

Even if it's hereditary I think using an anti-stretch mark lotion will help reduce the severity of them. Anything will help. But yes, coconut oil, bio oil, palmers coco lotion and oil are all great products

Thanks ladies! I've got Burts Bees belly butter and some Palmer's cocoa butter, but I like the coconut oil suggestion. I think I might be doomed because my mom got them, but not all the women in my family do. So we will see ?

My last pregnancy I used coconut oil but not because I was worried about stretch marks but more because my skin was extra itchy but it was an internal itch so nothing helped. I gain an easy 70lbs each pregnancy (yikes) and I have no stretch marks. Hoping my skin is stretchy this time around as well.

I used Palmers cocoa butter last time, mainly because I love the smell!!

I didn't use any and don't have any except one under my nipple!

They help keep you from feeling itchy and scratching which damages your skin

I used a cocoa butter every day with my last pregnancy. But stretch marks are genetic so if they run in your family, you'll get them.

Straight up coconut oil. Best thing ever. No a single stretch mark yet and I'm on baby 3. You can also add it to your bath and soak in it. Read up on all the other benefits of coconut oil has as well. Good luck!!

I am all about organic coconut oil for everything. It helps skin stay elasticity, smooth and hydrated. I don't have any stretch marks from my last two. Only 3 or 4 from my first. Coconut oil is so good for very many things. I have a huge list I got off Pinterest. Look it up!
