Lifting weights
Any women still lifting weights while pregnant or did in a past pregnancy? Advice and/or experiences?
I'm so glad I found this thread! I wasn't a gym rat before my last pregnancy, but I am now! Since finding out a couple of days ago I've been worried that I can't keep up with my workouts. I do bootcamps so it sounds like if I decrease weight amount a bit I'll be fine! YahOooo! Especially since all I want to eat right now is spaghetti! Haha
I still lift 5-6 days a week. Dr & NP told me I don't have to decrease intensity or weights at all. I squat & deadlift 225+lbs. She said nothing on my back and no contact sports/activities... sometimes I find it difficult to do more than 45 mins of cardio though... if you were active before, continue. But don't start anything new or anything that jeopardizes your balance...
Yes. I am continuing to do so and did my entire pregnancy with my son, who is 18 months. I ran, did the elliptical and revolving stair master, squats, lunges and lifted 10 lb weights. Just make sure and not lay on your back after your first trimester. But if you were active before, continue to do so. It was such an easy recovery for me and the weight fell off in 10 days
I've still been working out but my pride has taken a hit from decreasing in weight! I'm just curious what other women's routines are like and if they cut back at all.

Shameless selfie. Weight lifting does a body good ????????

Any women continuing to lift weights while pregnant or did in a past pregnancy? It's my first pregnancy and I'm 8W2d. Just looking to see if anyone has any advice or wants to share their experiences! My pride has been hurt so far from having to cut back on the amount of weight I usually do.
when you find out your food stamps hit finally 😆😆😆big weight lifted #dontjudge
Sooooo my molester died the other day, lord tell me how to feel and forgive me if it feels a great weight was lifted.
My doctor recommended same as above. Heartrate at a level you can still carry on a conversation, since all women are different. I have been doing cardio since I was a teenager, so I get mine above 140 quite often, but not very fatigued. I did with my son also. Just listen to your body is what's most important.
