Does anyone have any personal experiences going from Nexplanon to the IUD?

Never had the nexplanon but I did have the mirena and I bled constantly! And then I also had to take clomid to get pregnant 2 years after I had gotten it taken out bc it caused me not to ovulate anymore!!! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!!

I had the paraguard and liked it because it was hormone free and long lasting but I only ended up having it in about 7 months before SO and I started trying. The first 3 months I had CRAZY heavy periods, I needed to use a super tampon and pad otherwise I'd totally soak through. Month 4 5 and 6 my period got a lot lighter and regulated to a 5 day cycle. I liked having the hormone free BC and will get it again after this baby. My SO could feel the strings when we were intimate but over time they get softer and could around your cervix so it's not that noticeable. I got the IUD after 4 years on orthotricyclen

I have had the IUD since August and have periods that last 21 days. I just got my Dr to agree to remove it. I hate it.

Which IUD? Paragard? Mirena?

I went from the Nexplanon to the Paragard. I bled all 6 months with the Nexplanon in and it made me feel terrible. I had it removed and went directly to Paragard. I spotted for a few days and that was it. AF was a little heavier than usual but other than that I had no side effects.

...except for the IUD failing one year in, giving me my newborn, but other than that it was golden.

Had the IUD & hated it. Husband felt the strings with the IUD, and my body tried to expel it. Worst periods and cramps of my life. Never again.
