My 9 month old has had diarrhea all day and just recently woke up puking...a lot.. ? she now is refusing to nurse. We are going to the dr in the morning. But in the mean time what can i do to help her?

Probiotics are your best friend!!! You should give her some a few times a day, and then once a day as a supplement.

I'm glad lo is feeling a little better, I would try to give a little water or pedialyte too and wash with a warm damp washcloth instead of wipes to try to avoid a rash

Brat diet is totally acceptable at 9 months brat is as mentioned banana rice applesauce toast totally fine for a 9 month old and will help the fastest. But as I said nurse often just keep offering that will help baby the most

From what SofaKing describes, that a perfectly okay diet for a 9 month old, especially a sick one. I sincerely can't see an issue with it, but maybe I'm missing something.

Amy update how's your baby doing now??

9 months old is not too young for solids in addition to nursing

It's a bland diet.
Bananas
Rice
Apples
Toast
(Yogurt)

What is the BRAT diet?

Continue to offer the Breast and get some pedialite so she doesn't get dehydrated. Babies can get dehydrated FAST.

Brat diet will stop diahrea but when they are vomiting I think your supposed to just work on fluids so nurse often damp cloth on her forehead can help too

Keep trying to offer her the breast, and monitor her diapers to make sure she's not getting dehydrated. Poor thing. ?
