breastfeeding and protein for lo

breastfeeding and protein for lo

So we went to our 6 month appt today. And she asked if i started giving her anything for protein. (I cant remember what its called) she said if i didnt want to do that i could start giving her the cereal, 4 tbsp a day. Now is this there anything else i could do without having to give that much cereal since it is just a filler and doesn't do anything else for her?

Usually the typical concern is with iron (cereal are iron fortified) but most bf babies are just fine without added iron. Or you could get an iron supplement of anemia is an issue. Just add foods when you feel LO is ready. You can also explore baby led weaning and skip purées all together.

Food before 1 is just for fun. If you want to offer up food to learn new textures and start learning how to eat that's great, but if you just do primarily breastmilk/formula that's more than fine. Don't feel pressured to add in a bunch of foods just because your LO is 6 months.

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

I’m really trying my hardest to help one of my friends but it’s so hard she doesn’t listen to my advice. She’s a stay at home mom and she has 3 kids under age 5. Her husband works full time 10-12 hour shifts 6 days a week and they depend solely on his income. She’s always telling me how bad they struggle and complaining about not having money and I send her part-time jobs she could get but she says childcare is the issue. I even found a daycare that would let her bring her two younger kids that she could work at and she said she could find a sitter for her older son who is 5. Does she listen? No I literally give her money every week and no I’m not obligated but I just feel like I have to help what can I do to tell her she needs to start working because it’s literally ridiculous I’m realizing I give her like $100 a week which isn’t a lot but once I add it up that’s $400 I could be using for myself or in my own savings

FTM problems... So I've made it pretty clear that I want to buy my daughter her fist Halloween costume. Her babysitter/nanny keeps saying she wanted to make her one. I told her yesterday that I wanted to find her something that my SO and I could dress up as a family. So I told her I am going to get it. She just text me and said 'not trying to step on your toes but I bought her two costumes'. She does this all the time. Anytime I want to do the "first" things with her she immediately does it. It's making me sad. Like I wish I could quit my job and be home with her.
