So annoyed!
I'm getting so annoyed of people telling me that I am spoiling my almost 1 month old dd. Because when she cries I pick her up! Or that sometimes for her to fall asleep I need to either rock her or walk her around! My SO uncle told me that I need to "trick" her when I lay her down and she will be fine if she cries. I have been told to put sugar on her tongue when she gets the hiccups...like what?! Why is it I'm the only one who understands that she needs me? That she is crying for a reason?! I'm so sick of defending myself and her. My so understands for the most part. She hates her car seat and she will literally cry the whole time, and apparently that is a bad thing... some babies just don't like being still. Ugh! I'm not spoiling her. She just needs me.

A lot of the times she falls asleep on her own and sleeps 6 or 7 hour strwtches. But sometimes she can't fall asleep on her own and just cries

Do what you feel is best for you and your baby. People will always have something to say, just ignore them.

My best advice is don't ever let anyone tell you you are spoiling your baby by loving him or her. Food spoils, babies don't. I wish I hadn't listened to everyone else and got a few more snuggles in when he was a newborn. But u constantly had people telling me everything was wrong, do this, do that.

You absolutely cannot spoil a 1 month old! Just nod and smile and carry on exactly as you are!

My baby girl is 10 months old and I'm still getting told this by everyone, it's annoying all you can do is just ignore it!

Girl let them say whatever that baby is yours and you do what you want... I had this problem with my second and I notice I did spoil her and she cried every time I leave her someone cause she wanted me.. so now I let her cry and I don't pick her up as much so it's good she don't really cry anymore when I leave her with grandparents and babysitter... but my lo is 8 months now

You are exactly right! You can't spoil a one month old baby. Don't listen to ANYTHING that goes against your mommy instincts. I have family members who give me ridiculous advice as well. I just look at them, smile and do my own thing. You know what your baby needs. ?

So I completely get where you're coming from as I did the same thing with my daughter. 8 months later, she is attached to my hip. She would cry her eyes out if anyone picks her up other than me. She constantly wants to be held and I'm afraid that she will have separation anxiety if I put her in a daycare. I understand how family can be trust me my mother and aunts tried to school me on the most crazy things, but I know they have good intentions because they've been there.
