Potty training question

DD is 2.5 yo and we started potty training today. I put her in underwear and I have a potty and a seat on the toilet. At first I brought her on the toilet every 30-45 min. She would stay for a couple of minute without peeing and then get up and say she's done. After more than 2 hours without pee, I put her on the potty in front of Paw Patrol for 15 min and she peed in it. At other times I let her on the potty for longish periods without pee. After supper she had 2 accidents back to back and it was like she didn't know it was happening.

We just potty trained my daughter and she was like that at first. She wouldn't realize she had started peeing until it went down her leg. We just took a weekend and left her without pants. We would have her sit every hour and a half. If she didn't pee we would have her sit again in another 15-20 minutes. We only put pull-ups on her at night and haven't put a diaper on her since. It worked and she was potty trained within the weekend. Being naked made her realize when she was peeing I think because she didn't like the feeling of it.

Thank you for your answers! I'll try for a couple of days more but I won't force her if she's not ready.

She may not be ready...if she didn't know she was going when she had the accidents, she may not quite have the sensation down yet. If you're set on training her, you could try letting her be naked and see if that helps. But if she's ready, she will do it, if she's not then she won't. Good luck!

Honestly unless she already knows when she is going to pee it wont work

Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child.
