Where r u ladies born an raised?
Im a deep southern girl all tha way frm tha bottom of tha boot. Born an raised in tha big city New Orleans, where we get snow about every 20 yrs, which melts within a few hrs?. Its always hot an humid here. We dont have real winters like up north. My husband is frm tha country so i tend to tell our kids that they have a lil city an a lil country in em. Growing up in New Orleans u learn 2 things for sure an thats how to party an cook. That explains y i chose tha career path i took as a chef. People luv to come here for our food an our parties. This city knows how to have a good time.
I grew up in the burbs of Toronto, Canada! ?? Hubby and I have moved in and out of the city for work, and love living in our country. We experience all four seasons and each is as different as the next. Right now the Autumn leaves are changing and everywhere you look you can see the radiant Fall colours ??
Born and raised in PA in suburbs outside of Philadelphia! It's a very pretty area, lots of country but also only about a 45 minute drive to the city, and if we want to go to the beach just have to drive over to New Jersey which is about a 2 hour drive, not bad at all! I love it here. I definitely would like to see what's out there, but I feel like PA is where I'd always end back up.
Born & raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It's 100's during the summer and so much ice and snow during the winter you wont believe it lol. My boyfriend is from New Orleans but lives out here with me. He currently just flew back out today to visit family one last time before baby comes because it's starting to get expensive to travel.
Ohh the places you all grew up sounds so interesting :), I’m in Australia so I grew up in Perth, Westen Australia a smaller city near lots of beaches with a dry summer, lovely spring and mild winter with no snow. Then I met my husband and moved down to the little island at the bottom, Launceston Tasmania which is cold no snow except for on the mountains but a lot colder then I’m used to the summers are mild but nice and Autumn is very pretty here. I’ve lived here 7 years now so getting used to it.
I was born and raised in Paris France, moved to the Bay Area after high school. It does snow in France but in Paris it is usually too warm or too cold for snow. One Christmas we woke up to a blanket of snow and that was so special. Weather here in CA is nice, but it’s been getting hotter and hotter with climate change. This summer was almost unbearable without air conditioning.
Me and my husband are both from the foothills in California. We get snow every winter, hot summers, live in the national forest, Yosemite national park is basically my back yard and driving wise takes an hour. But we are actually looking at moving out of state when my husband finishes nursing school. So maybe 5yrs or less. But we both want to move out of the state since it's just too expensive here
?Mardi Gras?
Anyone else in this group frm New Orleans out at tha parades tonite celebrating an having fun? Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday an it is lit. My 2 oldest are marching in the parade tonite. It cold but it won't stop the people of New Orleans or tha tourists that come here to celebrate Fat Tuesday.
