Anyones babies born with this breathing problem?

My twin boy was born with this and today my doctor said it's called Tracheomalachia or Lovyngotrachomalachia. He doesn't really struggle to breath but it looks like he is. Especially when he is sitting up right like in his car seat. He will sometimes salivate because of it. My doctor said it should fix itself by the time he's between 2.5 and 3. He said it rarely ends in surgery. I asked today if we could get another opinion from an ENT. I feel so bad for my little guy. I feel like I can't take my babies out anywhere now because he's so uncomfortable in the car seat

Wow that's crazy. It must be pretty rare

My daughter was born with Tracheomalacia. She often times stopped breathing for 10+ seconds at a time and had other symptoms -- along with wicked acid reflux. She regularly saw the ENT to keep a close eye on her. He said most kids grow out of it by the age of 1. She's now 2.5 and is fine. We notice her breathing to be a little wonky from time to time, but definitely not how it was.
