Mini Pill question
So my doctor told me I may not get a period or just have spotting if I take the mini pill. Well I am now on my second time having a period while on the mini pill and it has not even been a month and I have not even finished the first pack. My first period was 10 days ago, now 10 days later I have it again and it's way heavier. Both times where not spotting, they were a true peiod. First time it lasted 7 days and it was normal bleeding. This time it's already been 3 days and it is now very heavy. Everything I have read about the mini pill online says the same thing my doctor said, no period or irregular spotting. So I'm confused to why this is happening to me. I'm sick of all this bleeding

I was just reading that you have to take them at the same time everyday to make your period regular. Well that's kinda hard to do when u are busy with 3 kids lol. So I guess this is why it happened. I have no clue. But I'm gonna call my doctor about it next week. Because if this is going to be happening all the time I might as well just go back on the regular pill

Set an alarm on your phone. If not taken at the exact same time, then breakthrough bleeding is possible. Not to mention that the hormone dose is so low that when not taken at exactly the same time daily it's effectiveness is reduced because it's out of your system if you take it late.

I'm on the mini pill and to begin with I bled irregularly but I have been on it for about 6 years now (only came off to conceive my son and went straight back on) and my periods are regular every month.. Also definitely make sure you take it at the same time every day. You only get a three hour window with the mini pill as oppose to the combined

I was on the mini pill & I always had my period sometimes it wouldn't take 30 days before I had it again & I got used to it & take it everyday at the same time or else you'll end up pregnant like I did lol & periods are normally irregular when you breast feed

Great lol. Well I got my period pack 4 months pp when I had my son and I was breast feeding him and it was pretty regular, very unlike what I'm going through now

It does not have a 3 hour window, at least not the one im taking. My Dr said combination pills have a hour window, mini pill doesn't have one at all.

Same thing happened to me on the mini pill. I bled twice in the first month then didn’t bleed again the rest of the time I was on it (4 months). I just finished my last pack and I got a period about a week after I finished it. My husband got a vasectomy so I won’t be using BC anymore thank goodness! On the plus side the pill wasn’t bad...worked well for me.

Ok I just got my period again. This is the third time in less then 2 months. I've been getting it every 10 days. And the past week or so I've been taking it at the same time everyday, even set an alarm. Is this normal to get it this much. If so this crap is not for me, I can't deal with this much bleeding. And my flow is super heavy when I get my period

It takes 3-4 months for the body to adjust. In that time, you might be spotting a lot! Then it regulates, and you will have breakthrough bleeding if you do not take it exactly when scheduled. The mini pill is also your best bet if you have high blood pressure.
