need opinions on a baby book
Anyone read Happiest Baby in the Block? And do you agree with most of the stuff in there and have you done them? Did they work? My husband got the book because someone at work recommend it. We have 5 week old twins now. I was skimming through it and it said to swaddle until 4 or 5 months and play white noise every night all night long. Anyone do that and have it work? I was thinking about getting a sound machine instead of always using my phone. I usually play white noise with nature sounds and it sometimes works, works for me to lol

I think I had a video on it with my first... is it the one where they suggest swaddling and holding baby facing away from you to sooth them? It’s been 7 years!

I read it, and they definitely encourage swaddling! I think it worked for us. In fact DD1 is 19 months and sleeps with a white noise machine playing to this day. I really think it was a worthwhile read!

We use a sleep sack with arms free, and we do play white noise all night, and my 3 month old has slept very well for the past 2 months. I think it works for sure

We swaddled until my son was able to break free of it, i think around 4 months and then just used sleep sacks for a little bit after that. He's had a sound machine with white noise, (we use ocean sound), since the day he came home. He is 2 1/2 and still uses it to sleep.

Haven’t read the book, but we swaddled until around 4 months. We stopped when my son could roll. And we still play white noise all night at almost 2 years.

Yeah or it says to swaddle untill they can roll. We also use a fan here in the house for white noise. I have a little one in bedroom and we have been using one for our first son in the hallway near his room. But I don't think it's enough. But my question is will they always rely on some kinda white noise forever? Not that it's a bad thing I guess. Can anyone suggest a good sound machine? I want one with mostly nature sounds and white noise. Right now I play a loop of nature sounds, mostly rain and frogs, with white noise, from my phone for the twins but I don't let it play all night, probably for about an hour. I did not know it's better to keep it on all night.
