2 year old screaming in the middle of night
So my son has been a great sleeper pretty much since he was 7 months old. The past few months he will get up after a couple hours of sleeping, sometimes after a few hours, and just start screaming at the top of his lungs. I will go in and check and there is nothing wrong with him. He's just laying down screaming. He does not even have a wet diaper. I know it's not night terrors because he is fully awake and knows what's going on. I just don't understand why this is happening. I'm lucky if we get 2 nights a week of this not happening. Anyone elses child do this? When he wakes in the morning he does the same thing, just screams at the top of his lungs. It's beginning to worry me

I don't think so. He goes to bed fine in the dark.

If it's growing pains it been going on for months. As for speaking, he speaks a little here and there. Along with the screaming he will sometimes say hello

Might be night terrors. My son went through the exact same thing and still occasionally has them.

My baby used to have that problem, until one old lady told me to pray while my son was asleep. Now, I know some ppl don't believe in that type of stuff, I was one of them but I was so desperate and hated to see my baby crying like that so I tried it and it work. Also buy a dream catcher.

I'm not one to pray, never really have, but I do have a dream catcher. It's definitely not night terrors, like I said above, when I go in there when he is screaming he is aware and laying down awake. So he knows what's going on, he is not in some weird daze

Aliyn has night terrors and at times Confusional Arousal. The confusional arousal is nuts. I would try calming her and think she was awake and i'd just make it worse ? I had no idea about it at all. Now I go in and sit with her but just let her go. She does calm down and then I can put her to bed with a little cuddle etc. Your son may be experiencing similar.

But when I or my husband walk in to get him he just stops. It's not like uncontrollable screaming. It stops once someone comes to get him
