Hi, last Monday I found out I'm having twins. I'm adopted and asked my half sister when I got home if twins run in the family. She said no living twins. Our birth mother had a miscarriage with twins at 6 weeks. So this was definitely a surprise. I had my third appointment today and was told they are fraternal twins and I will not know the sex untill my 20 week ultrasound. I'm also 38 and read that the older you are when you get pregnant the greater chance you have to get twins. I'm due February 14, so I'm 8 weeks and 6 days. I found out I was pregnant the day of my missed period. I have one 2 year old son already. I'm a bit scared so if anyone has some encouraging words, I'm all ears. Thanks guys

I'll be 35 weeks with fraternal boys on Wednesday, I found out what my boys was at 14w and the other one at 18w I also have a 4 yr old daughter, I will say this... it's a whole new ball game being pregnant with twins then it is a single baby, thankfully I've not had any health issues but the pain/pressure and not being able to breath is out of this world, but it is also very exciting as well, I get ultrasounds every appt and being able to watch them grow is truly awesome and funny at times ( they have caught them fighting in ultrasounds lol) my best advice is take it easy and try not to over do it and enjoy the best you can, I obviously don't have advice on twins being here yet but i have my date set for exactly 37 weeks so I can tell you more about having the twins actually here in a few weeks if you'd like, Ima just take it day by day

Thank you so much. I will love to hear all about everything. I keep hearing about the being out of breath part and the sore back. I'm worried because I have a slight curve in my spine and degenerative disc disease. I my start physical therapy for my back like I should have weeks ago. That's if they will let me do it while pregnant. I also asked doctor today if my tummy will be bigger then last time, she said oh yeah. Lol. I need to stop focusing on the negative things I hear that come along with being pregnant with twins. I Google to much about what can go wrong. So now I keep scaring myself. Are your doctor's pushing for you to have a C section?

Im 34 and 29 weeks tomorrow with b/g twins. It is a different ball game than my singleton but its worth it. I never had morning sickness or anything but i am out of breath all the time and my back and hips hurt like no other. I go to a chiropractor though to get everything lined back up. Too be honest i have only gained 14 pounds and my belly is smaller than with my singleton. Lol. Idk y but is.

No my doctor is really hoping I can deliver vaginal but my boys have been playing around with us where they will go head down and then decide to go breach or transverse lol, and please stay off of google it is your worse enemy being pregnant with twins trust me.... and yes my belly is so much bigger than it was with my daughter but it's not so bad, i keep looking at it as a small price to pay for such a wonderful blessing! You can do this!!!
