Is it normal to have discharge from your nipples after a miscarriage? I had one about 8 weeks ago and lost baby between 5 and 7 weeks old. After I got out of shower the other day I had what looked like colostrum come out of my nipples. I squeezed and more came out. I breast feed my now 18 month old son till he was 7 months old. Or is this just normal since I used to breast feed and maybe takes a long time to really dry up?

They put something in my IV so that would not happen to me.

I lactated for about a week after my D&C. No one warned me that could happen. Supposedly the sudden drop in hormones can trigger your body to thinking that it has a baby to feed.
You can wear a tight sports bra, don't stimulate your nipples, take Benadryl at night and it will dry up eventually.
