Are his shoes too tight (my son had shoes plenty long for him, then I noticed his big toe nail kinda like that, and his shoes were not fat enough for him). I had to go out and try on all the baby boy shoes at Walmart on him til I found a baby brand...can't remember the name right now, that made chubby short shoes that didn't bother his nails.

Also, some ppl get yeast, athletes foot, etc...maybe he is prone to that?

His big toe nail looks like that because he does not let me cut them. In the corners of the big nail it kinda breaks off and hangs and it hurts him if I try to cut it off. This that's why he does not like me cutting them. Guess it's like a hang nail. I pretty sure he does not have anything like athletes feet. I never see him itch them. And they only look red because he is very pale. So I don't know what to do. I think u mean wide feet? So if he had wide feet I would have to get wide shoes. He does not have wide feet as far as I know. Both my husband and I have narrow feet

Cut the nails while he's in a deep sleep. My sons pinkie toe nail was tiny and thin... He used to rip it off because he said he didn't like it! Lol... It grew back ;) a lot of that has to do with toddlers banging their toes on stuff, crawling, running, etc..

Yeah that's the only way he let's me cut them is when he is sleeping
