My husband is infertile
My husband and I just found out today that there is no sperm in his semen. We have been TTC for about 6 months, and have been through all the emotions. Does anyone have experience with this? He said they're doing more tests, but I don't know what they are. He's been on testosterone intentions for a year, and stopped 2 weeks ago. Could that be why? How can I support him? He's really upset. Any advice/info is really appreciated.
Thanks so much for responding Luna, that's helpful. I told him to ask his doc for Clomid, so I hope he can get on it, and they'll be able to find some sperm. They're doing more blood tests tomorrow I guess, but not sure what for. They already know his testosterone level, since that gets checked on a regular basis. I'm just worried he might be totally infertile. But I'm trying not to think like that. Thanks again.
My husband's sperm count was at 6 mil/ml which is extremely low. It was really hard on him. He felt like he wasn't manly. They took a blood sample and his testosterone levels were very low as well (like 5th percentile for 80 year old men...) I tried encouraging him that it was just a medical issue not an identity issue. He wouldn't really talk about it to anyone else so I just was as supportive as possible. He went on clomid and now I'm pregnant after just a little over 2 months. I'm not sure if it was pure luck or if the medicine significantly increased his sperm. I'm so sorry you are going through this.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
Hearing y'alls personal stories really helps. He had his LH and FSH tested today, hoping to get results by Tuesday. I'm really hoping there will be something wrong there that can be fixed with clomid or something similar.
