Septate vs Bicornuate Uterus anyone?
At my last u/s (when I found out my baby had no hb at 9 weeks), the tech mentioned I had a bicornuate uterus. I have done research since then, and that type of abnormality isn't correlated with recurrent first tri mc (I have had 3 in a row). I have read that a bicornuate uterus is often a misdiagnosis when it's actually a septate uterus which IS associated with first tri mc. I will be asking my ob about this at my d&c follow up appt in 2 weeks. I also am homozygous for MTHFR a1298c (I did daily 40mg of Lovenox shots with this last preg as well as extra folic acid, B6, B12, and baby aspirin) and probably PCOS insulin resistant. Whew!

I had the HSG test which confirmed a septum. We had to fight with our health care coverage for 6 months to pay for surgery to fix it. Then I got kidney stones and took 6 more months to get healthy and pay off those bills. We finally had surgery scheduled for April 9. On April 8, I found out I was pregnant! Last Friday I had my third u/s scan and the second one confirming baby had no growth and no hb. So far I have not started the mc so a d&c will be scheduled for next week and then septum repair surgery scheduled for prob August once my body recovers from the mmc. Thanks for asking about me. Hi. Only just seen your post. I have a septate uterus and cervix. I'm currently 30+4 days. Doesn't make you infertile just makes it a whole lot harder I think. xx

Had a septated uterus, had a lap in feb (for endo) Surgical corrected at that time. Last u/s showed that my uterus looked normal shaped. In my tww now .

I'm curious as to why your dr put you on metformin. Are you PCOS?
