Another big pat on the back from me! My OH has been away for the last week and it was a tough week. Nothing in particular and Freddie was really good, it's just relentless and you can't stop your brain whirring for a split second. I also found it really lonely and boring in the evenings as LO goes to bed at 7.

Oh that sounds so horrible ? I did feel slightly pathetic going to wake up my oh and say 'please don't go to work today, now I've started being sick' haha. But I genuinely don't think I could have looked after myself and my little one without him home!! Don't know how you do it!

Even one night of my daughter having a tummy bug and then me getting it had me and my partner discussing how hard it must be to do it all alone ??????

I feel so so lucky to have my hubby he is a great help our eldest is disabled and he is fantastic with him and I really don't think I would cope alone with him and my others, he is very much like a baby still and very hardwork he's also the most amazing boy ever ?

Big hugs to you all my husband thinks you're all amazing women too he has the kids alone for a few hours and he is tearing his hair out and admits he can't do it x

Ajay I take my hat off to you. I work because I need a break and honestly don't know how you do a uni course on top. My promotion exams meant study but no real deadlines etc. and I don't breastfeed so I can ask my eldest son to help. Without him (14) I'd be lost. He helps me so much and will babysit two of the younger ones. He'd have the baby but I think it's unfair on him to have to change nappies etc.

I can't tell their dad to have them as he died. However if he hadn't it would still be access visits and I'd have to do most things.

I understand the money thing even used my birthday money to buy nappies and baby milk. I've had to have new clothes but living in two pairs of leggings, a pair of jeans and value t shirts. My kids have everything. The eldest three get a pension and they pay for their school uniforms and trips.

It's so hard but I promise it will get better. Nursery bills will soon go and that's a massive help here xx

Totally agree, i moan to my mum that my daughters behaviour is awful and that i am struggling with it and she responds "we we had to deal with that when you were young" key word there being WE! When you are on your own you cant go out to calm down and have some space you just have to sit there and ride it out! There are so many things i want to do but cant. When i was younger i pictured myself getting married having a house and kids etc. Now I am 28 and i have managed the child part and am not even close to any of the other things i wanted out of life! But yes hopefully when my little one is older things may get easier!

I think you're amazing i did it alone for 6 months while hubby was in Afghan and that was bad enough, your kids will have only you to thank when they grow up I'm always here to listen, I will always listen to my sister she chose to go it alone as her ex was and still is a loser and has nothing to do with their daughter xxx

I needed this today! Ajay I relate so much to your reply! I have brilliant support from my parents but I do go without! I have the same underwear and clothes that i have had since before my daughter was born nearly 4 years ago! One of my best friends just got engaged and im so happy for her but i am so dreading her saying shes having a hen weekend abroad because i know i wont be able to go! I am the only one in my group of friends with a child, they are all in long term relationships, getting engaged, buying houses and i'm just here like woo i'm a lonely single parent who cant do any of those things! I wouldnt change it for the world. I love my daughter more than anything and because I have her i have something they dont have. But it doesnt make it any easier when she is having a 2 hour long tantrum and doesnt listen to me ? it is so much hard work and people dont always realise or notice how hard it really is so power to all the single ladies out there managing to survive each day ?

Won't lie it's flaming hard. But so rewarding. Getting them all to different places and working is at times impossible. Some days you're so tired you fall asleep stood up. The only peace you get is locking the toilet door, but even that gets interrupted

But I wouldn't change it. One set of rules, no getting frustrated wanting the other to help when they don't realise or think about things.

Hard but those smiles, cuddles and laughter I don't have to share xx
