Please keep my little man in your thoughts. He has influenza and may be admitted to the hospital tonight. They just hooked him up to an IV for fluids.
Thank you everyone. He's home now on a lot of medications and sleeping but he actually drank on his own this morning so I'm really happy about that.
Thanks all! I live in Central Arkansas. One of the guys at my husband's work came in last week feeling "flu like" and my husband got it, then I got it, and now my son. It's awful.
@cg..they did a swab in both nostrils to determine if he had the flu, and they also did a chest xray to make sure it wasn't pneumonia. His flu test came back positive for strain A. They put him on an IV of fluids and gave him TamiFlu (and also some for his sister) and told us when he comes home, lots of fluids, rest, and Tylonal or Ibuprofen when he's in pain.
Its going around bad...almost admitted my 2.5 year old niece with the same thing. Now her parents have it...Just that time of the year. If it were me I would rather be there at the hospital then sent home with meds and surrounded by nurses and doctors incase they got worse! Prayers
He is so sweet. Before I left to take his little sister home, he said "love you mommy." with tears in his eyes because they had just given him the IV. Broke my heart.
He was very lethargic. Wouldn't eat or drink anything, not even Sprite which he gets on occasion and LOVES. He slept all day and his fever kept elevating til it got to 102. He started throwing up phlegm and just staring into space. It was terrifying :(
Thank you :( I can't be with him because I have to get my 7 month old to bed. I feel like a crap mom.
He's in my thoughts and prayers so sorry to hear that
