He had the contact for a while, but it was such a pain...it kept popping out not to mention getting it in his eye was torture!

He may need more surgery to correct his lazy eye but hopefully not.

My dd is 11 months. My cousins daughter was born with a cataract and she has had one surgery and now wears a contact.

Your little guy is just adorable!! Will he need more surgery or just wear the glasses?

We try to reward him with little fruit snacks and things he doesn't get too often (little toy cars, or cookies and sweets).

We actually found out about his cataract when he was a week old. They couldn't find the red reflex in his right eye at his first doctors appointment so they referred us to the eye clinic where they determined he was born with a bad cataract. He's had three eye surgeries since he was 6 weeks old and has had to wear glasses the past 6 months. It's been a long and rough journey so far but if they hadn't caught the cataract, he would have been blind in that eye.

Oh he's so cute!!! I was just about to ask you how do you get him to keep them on. And how did you know he needed glasses? My dd has her appointment next week (her medical condition has her at a higher risk for needing glasses) and I'm just curious.
