Push present

Is anyone getting or requesting a push present?

What the hell is a push present??

I'm getting a new car so I'm considering that my push present ?

Нравится Ответить

Is this new or what? Lol wish I knew this with my last two kids lol

I personally find the idea of push presents slightly ridiculous. If a man wants to surprise the mother of his child with a gift after the baby is born, then that's very sweet and wonderful. But the idea of asking for a present or expecting a present, like it's Christmas, seems a bit silly to me. No offence to those who feel differently, to each their own. Just not my thing.

I didn't even know this was a thing. Lol. But I'm going to ask my dad to go get me lots of yummy food (since my mom will be in the room with me.) ??

Нравится Ответить

Never crossed my mind to expect a present for it but booze sound nice!! Haha!! ????

Нравится Ответить

My birthday is 2 days from my due date so any present would probably be considered a birthday gift.

Нравится Ответить

I never gotten nothing and don't get anything now so not expect to get anything for when baby born

It's funny cause I'd heard about push presents before but I thought it was cliché or at least just another commercialized gimmic to get men to buy their ladies jewelry. But yesterday I mentioned the idea to my dh and he smiled and said he'd love to get me something! This being our last baby and all.

Now I'm like, well darn it! Lol I could've said it years ago. ?

We have never done a push present. This is baby #5 and I told my husband I want my car detailed.

Нравится Ответить

For my push present I want my hubby to bring my five other kids to visit me :-D last time the didnt. Well they couldn't really they ended up sick. But I miss my other little ones also.... I don't want a gift cause my children are my gift.

I also never heard of this till now...

Yes, we haven't always called it that... My last pregnancy I got a new to me vehicle .... I've been telling my hubby I'm not sure yet... Thinking about something for my house that is important to me but really a necessity. I've been wanting new floors throughout the living, foyer, kitchen and halls.... Or jewelry ... But my hubby always goes crazy with affection and gifts after delivery. I deliver naturally and he is always just amazed, proud and honored that I'm so wiling to do this for our family he goes out of his way to honor me post baby!!

I just told my hubby all I want after she's born is a margarita ?he asked if I want it at the hospital or first thing when I come home. Hahaha. Good to know he's on board with that. ?? Surprises aren't his strong suit but if I ask for something, he'll get me whatever I want. I'd love something with her birthstone on it! ??

I'm not really into commercial holidays like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. But I like the idea of a push present. Maybe cuz Im very sentimental and I think it would be a nice token of the special event. Plus, we both are getting the special present of the new baby, but it's only the mom who carries the baby for 40 weeks. A little something would be nice.

It's not really a push present but for us (mil included) the after delivery meal is what is special. With my daughter my mil told me to pick whatever food I wanted and she would bring it to me! After starving and not being able to eat during labor it's an awesome present!

Anything that shows appreciation for the 9 months and labor !!! It's about the appreciation, not so much material- but hey if this shows appreciation - I'm all for it !

All i ask for was a monster or a rockstar i miss my energry drinks

@2moms

I know right?

My husband thinks I deserve something special after this miserable pregnancy and especially because I'm giving him a daughter.

Maybe it's different because we had trouble conceiving, it's the fairy tale ending to a long painful journey and something he wants to show his appreciation for. I suppose when you're on your 4th or 5th child, the desire to show appreciation for your spouse going through pregnancy and child birth is probably long gone.

Blah blah blah so many negative Nancy's on this app .. If you dnt want a push present or didn't get one that's cool but dnt knock those who want/get one..you females on this app are very judge mental /miserable..

Bahaha. I told my husband he could buy me a new ring that fit better as a push present and he said what's a push present. So, that explains why I didn't get one the first time around and won't get one this time either. ? Doesn't really bother me though.

Kinda up to each individual on the importance of a push present. I'm lucky to get a present for Christmas.

Brand new car for me as an early push present was amazing

Lol now just to push the baby out lol

I know everyone is preggo here but some of you chick's need to lighten up....i can just see your noses turned up as you type. ???

Нравится Ответить

Yup I sure am!!?

And i don't feel one bit bad or ridiculous for it.

Since I've had to put my career in hold due to the many complications of this pregnancy(i travel and speak at seminars) and since I've had round ligament pain since I was 15 weeks....I'm getting a pair of Louboutins! I love wearing high heels when I speak and my first engagement after baby boy arrives is in October. My hubby says he feels honored to gift them b/c after 3 daughters I've given him a heir to his last name?? Plus he and I love giving gifts....its both of our Love Language.

It's not a push present its a future present one day after we make up money from hospital bills and maternity leave. I want a ring with our three birthstones on it. Nothing fancy just simple.

Нравится Ответить

Baby #5. I've never gotten a push present...(Honestly cool to those who do..just not our thing..)

I should ask for one this time though...

V.a.s.e.c.t.o.m.y....lol!

Нравится Ответить

Lol I am going to ask for mine soon enough ? im just waiting to finish my baby stuff first

Нравится Ответить

After doing all that work for 40 weeks, to get a little acknowledgement from the hubby is a nice surprise! :) that's just how I feel. I can totally understand that Moms would think money should be spent on the baby, or the house, etc. Thats totally true, but it's still nice. I'm excited to get the surprise of not knowing what we're having and finding out during birth first, then when I'm all banged up from childbirth having my hubby come in the hospital room with something sparkly is pretty nice too! :) I hope everyone is feeling well. We're coming to the end!!!!

This is one of the top five craziest things I've ever heard of... We're getting a baby. What more of a present do you need... Wtf...???

Нравится Ответить

My baby boy is my "push present"?

Нравится Ответить

For my first I got a brand new wedding band set & a day at the spa.

I am dying to know what I'll get this time. Maybe a mommy make over or something. Idk how he can top last push present. Lol

Нравится Ответить

This seems ridiculous to me. But then again to each there own. I didn't get anything eith my first and I don't expect anything with this one either

Нравится Ответить

I've never heard of this! I did jokingly say that we needed some bubbly moscato when we were at the grocery store so I could have a glass the next day after birth :P

Нравится Ответить

I just want a beer... Just 1!!! Lol

Нравится Ответить

This is my 3rd kid and I have had very hard pregnancy with each one and I have yet to get one push present!

Нравится Ответить

I don't expect a present for pushing out a baby, to me my baby is the present lol although some flowers would be nice lol

Нравится Ответить

I don't think I got a push present last time. Unless you count a special food order. My first meal I wanted was Mexican my mom got it for me? so I mean if that counts I'll probably get another one. But this time it's my car back and fixed ?? but that was coming either way

Нравится Ответить

For a "push present" I want DH to paint the kitchen. Same thing I wanted for our anniversary. And my birthday. And Christmas.

Нравится Ответить

I never heard of a "push present" until I came on this app. I personally think the idea is ridiculous. We're having a baby and I feel like our money is better spent on things she needs rather than something that I merely want. Isn't the fact that you just had a baby gift enough?

Нравится Ответить

I recently found out about this idea, I honestly didn't know it existed. My husband has a 2 week paternity leave after baby is born and my treat is that he gets to pamper me, let me sleep when needed and have full reign on the toddler while i heal up. Its not really a treat though, I expect it, but at the same time truely appriciate it hahaha labor is so hard on the body.

Нравится Ответить

I don't necessarily get I push present. But I sure do ask for a specific meal after I pop that kiddo out!

Нравится Ответить

I sort of told my husband that he is supposed to give something to me that I can give to the baby that is meaningful, which ended up being jewelry of the baby's birthstone. With my first he gave me a blue topaz (December) pendant necklace with black and white diamonds around it. With my second son he gave me a David Yurman diamond bracelet (April), and this baby is a ruby (July :)), so I'm hoping for a ring. I'll probably never get jewelry again after this one haha. All things that can be given to a future wife of my boys, or if this is a girl she can have it on her wedding day. Makes me feel good after all this work!!!! Big changes from my Moms day in age. I think she got a vacuum haha

Нравится Ответить

I am, I found it in my husbands hospital bag but I'm not sure what it is.

I don't think it's silly, if the situation was reversed I'd buy him something special.

Нравится Ответить

My so "accidentally" gave me a push present with our first. I don't think either of us knew it was a thing but he got me the sweetest card from the hospital and birth stone earrings. I loved them both but the simple card with his note was the best.

Нравится Ответить

I didn't ask for anything and don't expect anything. I'm personally not a fan of the push present.

Нравится Ответить

I want a roomba ?... My birthday is a month before I'm due and I keep throwing it out there as a "bday/ push present". We have two black labs that shed like crazy and we're still in a 1 bedroom apartment with all hardwood floors, it would be a gift that would make it so I wouldn't have to sweep every day. The thought of all this dog fur and a newborn in the house has made me crazy! ?

Нравится Ответить

Lol. "Push present"?

Yes, I'm getting a baby. ?

Нравится Ответить

I just recently heard this was a thing. I brought it up to my husband and asked for a turkey sandwich. Can't wait to eat deli meat again! ?

Нравится Ответить

I didn't realize that was a thing, but I didn't ask for a balloon. I love balloons and didn't have any at the shower.

Нравится Ответить

Not throwing hate at those that are all for push presents. Just saying it's not really something I like the idea of

Нравится Ответить

I never expect or request anything. With our first two I didn't get anything. With our last he got me a diamond and gemstone white cold necklace and flowers. It was a pleasant surprise but definitely not something he needed to do. I'm not expecting or asking for anything this time.

I rather hate the idea of push presents. I just feel like it's materializing something that's far more important than material goods. Like it was sweet my husband wanted to get me something I suppose but i feel like he felt obligated to because that's what the world is telling him he needs to do, but in reality he helped bring that child into the world. That's gift enough

Hubby got me a rose gold watch for dd in 2013 so I'm excited to see what he comes up with this time :)

Religion Conspiracy/Theory

**This is not to bash peoples religion and beliefs but to talk about our own theories and ideas** I would like to discuss a certain topic that came to mind after talking to my SO. Push presents are stupid, and women who expect “push presents” from their SO’s are even more stupid. You’re giving life to a human being for Pete’s sake! You don’t need a damn present for something your body is made to do. 🤦🏻‍♀️

There, I said it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
