Working out?
Is anyone working out and what do you do? I'm curious if anyone is doing abs and for how long? I ran until 8 months with my first but I don't remember when I stopped ab exercises

I'm definitely working out! I'm a personal trainer and will continue lifting weights as long as my body cooperates

I work out I'm still doing abs but more obliques then anything. I forget around what week to stop laying flat on my back tho. I still am for some moves.

Yes! I dance. So I'll keep dancing. And I'll add yoga to the play. ?

I am! I attend boot camps 4-5 times a week. Of your dr signs off on it you can continue doing core excersizes. Only thing is that after 12 weeks no more twisting exercises or on your back.

No more twisting? Isn't that an old wives tale? Have you seen the video on your tube of 9mo pregnant woman doing yoga while twisting and flipping?

Im happy to see so many others working out too! I'm also starting to do yoga. I had my Drs permission to work out until my due date. We have since moved and I have a new dr, I hope they say the same thing this time around.

I go for daily walks and alternate cardio (elliptical) with light toning (bowflex)

I have read Twisting can lead to severe cases of Diastasis recti aka ab muscles seperating. My yoga instructor with my first baby also told me to avoid them after 12 weeks and same thing with my trainers now.

Interesting! I did yoga during my last pregnancy, the only thing she said was to do half moves if my belly was in the way or go as far as I could comfortably. Glad nothing bad happened then but good to know! Muscles separate based on genes and many factors tho. You'd think exercise would help combat that.

I work out daily!!! I've tried doing abs a few times in the last couple weeks and it just feels weird to me.

I'm working out ? I love running of course when I get bigger I won't be able to run as much so I'll switch to the elliptical but makes me have more energy and a happier person because of the endorphins!
