Thank you everyone. I really appreciate all of your comments. I'm trying to stay positive. I think the scan is just to rule out ectopic pregnancy more than anything else. But I most definitely will be asking them for blood tests. I just wanna know. Thanks guys. I'll update once I know more.

I agree with Venus. At your gestation there's not much else to do rather than wait a couple of days and see if it develops into anything heavier or subsides. Either way a call to your GP for blood tests and again 48 hours later to monitor hcg is probably most accurate way to know. Hope all is well with your little bean x

I was told yesterday that I've had a "missed miscarriage" after a scan, but I should've been around 10 weeks but baby's only measuring 6.5/7 weeks so that's why they scanned me... I'm unsure if they'll scan you? Call 111 for advice maybe? They may send you to A&E xxxxxxxx

If it was me I'd be asking my doctor to do a blood test. At 4-5 weeks it's unlikely to see anything on scan and the radiographers where I work won't do them under 6 weeks for that reason. You need a blood HCG test then another in 48hrs when your hormone level should double. A small rise might mean further investigation as could be ectopic and a decline would confirm a miscarriage but either way you'll have a better idea than having a scan where I suspect they will just tell you to come back in a week. I had bleeding at 4+ weeks and my first level was 21 and my second one 9 so I knew it was bad news but my tests weren't getting darker either. I've had 2 babies since though. I hope it turns out to be one of those things and everything is fine with your baby.

I would go and get checked out. I had this sort of thing at the beginning of my pregnancy and they thought I was having an ectopic which is dangerous if left untreated. In the end I had a really bad UTI and kidney infection Don't want to scare you but please get checked out xx

My period was due last Thur so it'll be a week tomo. I'll be 5 weeks tomo. And no not in my actual pee. It comes out of my vagina when I pee usually after a pee. X

Is it blood in your actual pee? If so get straight down to a and e, could be something serious with your kidneys xx

There's a lot of blood coming out. Bright red and I'm pretty sure there was a couple of clumps in it too. I think I'm miscarrying. I'm so very sad. :-((( scan on Thur. Can't stop crying... don't know what to do.

Sounds like a UTI that your bleeding whilst going for a wee Hun best to get to gp and get it checked x

Could it be a water infection? I know if your pregnant and have a water infection sometimes you can have a little bleed when you wee? Xxx

I had such bad cramps and then had pinkish when I wiped which changed to brown and lasted 2 days and was very light n only when I wiped. I broke down crying at first as it was how my early miscarriages started but soon realised there were no clots and not getting heavy so definitely implantation and didn't have it at all with rainbow baby (previous pregnancy)

I still haven't had any cramping and no blood in my pad BUT when I pee it comes out. There was nothing in my pad this morning but a lot of blood came out when I peed this morning. Moreso this morning. But no pain or cramps so I'm staying hopeful. Xx

I didn't get implantation bleeding but I had pretty bad cramps from around 3 and a half weeks till 9ish weeks, then at 12 weeks the round ligament pain took over lol ?? x

Step away from google. I've bled each time with my girls when I was 4/5 weeks, 8/9 weeks and 12/13 weeks. It was hormonal and a uti for one. Please try not to google xx

I've googled it. Implantation bleeding usually occurs between ovulation and your missed period. I'm too far along for implantation bleeding I think xx

Nope.. but is it worse when you need to wee? I had a lot with a uti so you need to be checked xx

I had this with my first foulky - was implantation bleeding. Call the EPU and see if they will get you in for a scan? Though it might be too early to see much. Good luck xx

EDIT: the bleeding is much heavier but only comes out when I pee.
