Milk donation
Anyone here a milk donor? I produce more milk than my son needs as my son has started sleeping through the night and has started weaning.
So question Has anybody successfully not be able to give there seconds or third child like cookies fast food etc . After seeing the effect after giving it to your your first children ? For example: my son only drink chocolate milk :( he will drink white milk and cereal but never by it self ) with my daughter I’m trying to not give her NONE . My son loves cookies , I’m trying to not give my daughter none !!
When can I start giving my son regular milk? He turns 10 months in 2 days. I bought unsweetened almond milk yesterday so he can try. Would that be okay? I’m lowkey tired of him on formula but I mean he’s still a baby lol.
What age did you start giving your kids flavored milk?
My son will be one in 13 days. When I start him on milk does it have to be whole milk?
Has anyone tried evening primrose oil to start soften they cervix ? My sister did it and she had her baby this morning at 39 weeks

I donated with my third. He's 16 mths now. It was a bit if a hassle dropping it off etc but really worth it. If you google it you cab find out your nearest hospital that has a milk bank as not all do. I used to express first thing in the morning as that worked best for me. I've just been in contact with them and because my son is nearly 6 months and because they have enough milk they don't need me to be a donor. I could have expressed 200-300oz a month too. I guess I just need to drop my morning pumping session and let my supply reduce. Just seems like such a waste. It's only because my son has started weaning and now sleeps through the night I have this over supply. Oh well.

Is it only done through hospitals? I have no idea but maybe there is other options? X

Human milk 4 human babies have a Facebook group that could link you up with someone local needing donor milk.

As your baby gets older your milk changes. As the majority of the milk is used for prem babies they need milk from mums of younger babies. I had to stop at six months as well x
