Nesting :-)
So, I've spent a few days now nesting! I've bought all of my baby stuff. I've washed and ironed the baby clothes. I've tidied and re-arranged all of my cupboards making more room for the baby's stuff and I'm really getting impatient while I'm waiting for another load of baby clothes to dry! His auntie has been spending a fortune on his clothes. I'm starting my maternity in 4 weeks and I can't wait!! A break from work, pressure, stress, paperwork! Blissssss! So, care to share any of your nesting stories? :-) I'd love to read them :-) x
When i was pregnant the wk before i was due i went mad. I painted every inch of the house i scrubbed everythin woth bleach, cleaned skirting, doors, washed carpets, washed all the baby clothes dried n ironed them, cleaned inside and outside every cupboard, threw away loads of our clothes to make more room, got storage boxes so everythin was neat n tidy. Once i had finished my house on my due date i went to my dads the next day and started on his. Got the full house done and when i was on my knees scrubbin the bathroom floor i took a really sore back n went into labour that night x
Thank you. Oh I hope your LO is ok by now? Bless.
I think I may have too many 0-3months clothes and what if I give birth to a HUGE baby? Oh well...
My OH is quite good at cooking too. I taught him how to cook from the beginning. This trick is not to do too much for them or they will take it for granted! Haha. Either that or I'm just being mean to him! He's quite good at helping me out when I'm snowed under with work too. I would be lost without him!
Ah nesting I remember it well, everything was perfectly tidy and organised. My daughter turned a month old yesterday and we've had a few health problems, a tongue tie that interfered with breastfeeding, then thrush and just been diagnosed with reflux, needless to say my house us now a dump (well by my standards anyway :-P) enjoy your nesting, I loved mine :-D
:-) my OH helps me with the housework bless him. He's good like that. I haven't gone as far as washing the skirtings yet lol but I'm sure I will once my mat leave starts as I'll be bored then! My bag's been packed for ages too so is the baby's and my OH's. My cupboards are stocked and I've been cooking all day yesterday - bulk cooking things, putting them into portion containers then freezing them! Handy! As I won't want to eat takeaways with my body out of shape and on my mat leave pay. X
Very organised hun! I'm the same, all baby's clothes r washed and put away, hospital bag for me and baby is done, spent the full day yesterday scrubbing absolutely everywhere in the house! Skirting boards, picture rails, windows, u name it! Washed curtains and bedding in our room, and other half has started painting the bathroom and is doing the odd touching up in the house so it will be all done by Sunday ☺ just waiting for our little man to arrive then! My last day of work is 3 weeks tomorrow yaaayy! Xx
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

“You look too young to be a mom!”
Or how about …
“You have a BABY? No! You look like a baby yourself!”👶
Oh wait, here’s a good one …
“Are you the nanny, ooor … ?”
“No, yeah I’m his mom,” I’d reply. “Yes, I am young,” I’d agree.
Considering I got pregnant straight out of college, I was certainly on the younger end of the parenting spectrum. (No one was more surprised than me, I assure you.) And yet, I wasn’t exactly a teen mom. I wasn’t juggling school courses and motherhood, like so many s...
