I had the same pump and thought i had to use the highest settings, but found it worked better for me on a lower setting. Its really important to get the right setting for you, so have a play with all the speeds and suction strengths until you find what works for you.
Put a heat pack on your breast while pumping, it helped me with the milk flow when I wasn't getting much.
The "let down" mode is really important too.
Were you worrying about it at the time? If you were, next time put it on and watch TV and don't focus on it. That also somehow helped when I was stressed.
So, this morning I pumped while I fed Noah. I managed to get 1oz in the time Noah fed which was about 7 minutes. Better than yesterday! We'll get there :) thanks for all your advice ladies x
I find when the milk slows down flowing or stops because I am not paying attention switching back to massage mode will help trigger more letdown by simulating more closely what the baby does throughout a feed. Love my spectra s2 so far.
Give your body a chance to get used to the pump... I was able to get 500-600mls first thing in the morning when pumping exclusively for my daughter. Be sure to use the let down mode, and keep pumping after its stopped squirting, that will encourage more to come. Use the let down mode again and attempt another let down. If have several in a 30 minute pumping session.

Possibly too high a setting? I know with me if the auction is too high I don't get as much.
I don't have a spectra though

Did you use the letdown mode?
It could be something as simple as ezmai said, maybe try fiddling with the different settings.
It could just be that you're not used to it.

Use the massage function and get your OH to give you a shoulder rub. it took me a while to be able to relax and let my milk out when I first got mine.

I tried a few different settings, still the same result.
I used the letdown function and changed it over when my milk started flowing, as it says in the instructions, but then it basically stopped.
Maybe I should use letdown mode for a bit longer? I'll keep trying.

I had terrible results with my spectra. Got heaps more with he manual, and ended up ditching it for a medela swing. Wasn't worth the trouble.

When it stops try a higher suction.. If no go than back to let down mode like you are starting again :-)
