I'd rather give go through labour and give birth again than have another attack!
My mum sent me an article where the guy drank apple juice and apple cider vinegar like 5 times a day for a week and his gallstones disappeared too. Worth a shot! lol.
I read that! It's so crazy.. It's almost like what's the point of the surgery! I have 5 large stones!
I've never been in labour but it's just about the worst pain I have felt even after the c-section!
I'm slowly getting used to being on this diet but I have diverticulitis and a few food allergies as well so it leaves a lot to be desired lol
I might have to try that suggestion!
I was diagnosed with gallstones 3 years ago after have countless attacks that landed me in hospital every time. The pain was worse than labour.
I was too chicken to have surgery but then i heard about drinking apple cider vinegar everyday. So I started having just a spoonful mixed in with water and honey (like a tea) once a day and if I felt an attack coming on I would swig a big mouthful of ACV and it stopped the attack. I since then have been told my stones shrunk themselves and have disappeared.
I had a donut today before my appointment. Lucky I did because that'll be my last for a while! lol.
Aw, that's so rough! For both of you ladies. I won't complain about the two attacks I've had in 6 months then! That's ridiculous :(
When I went in when I was pregnant they past it off as reflux and sent me packing. This time I went in I brought Noah with me because I was breastfeeding and had no pumped milk, lol.
I have gallstones at the moment! Have had 4 attacks in the last couple 2 weeks! If any of them last longer than 6 hours I have to go into the maternity ward and potentially have a c-section and my gallbladder out at the same time ? I'm 31 weeks! The pain is brutal and all I want is donuts but I can barely eat anything!
I want my gallbladder out lol
It actually started while I was first pregnant but went away, they didn't know what it was at the time because I was suffering from other pregnancy complications so thought it had something to do with that but the pain was the same when it started after delivery. I went to my GP and begged him to find out what was wrong! I was so worried they'd missed another baby cause it was as bad as labour! Nothing but time would relive it... I would spend between 1am and 5am laying on our cold floor tiles crying out in agony. A few times my hubby called an ambulance and each time they wanted to take me to hospital but I couldn't leave my Bebe, so they always gave me some pain meds but even those didn't help!
Wow, pp! I've only had two attacks. The first when pregnant back in January and the second last week.
I can't imagine the pain you just have felt having them nightly! :(
I had mine out when my bub was 5 weeks old... Best thing I ever did!!!! I stayed overnight and only had to pump and dump for the first 6 hours. I felt so much better after it was out. Took a few days to start feeling 100% again but was so worth it! I was having attacks nightly, it was the worst thing id ever been through. I'd gone private though so from seeing my GP to having it out was 2 weeks.
Oh that's not bad at all, pp.
I better start pumping and building a stash for Bubs then ? lol
Oh, my doctor made it seem like it would be longer than 90 days. I guess that isn't so bad then.
The specialist had cancellations so that's why I got in there so quick.
Thanks for that tip. I'll make sure to have some handy :)
Thanks Jade :)
I went to the specialist on Monday, I'm on the waiting list. It's a maximum of 12 month waiting list, however he did say the hospital is averaging around a 5 month wait, so we shall see! He's given me some pain relief techniques in the meantime and I guess we'll just pray I don't have another attack, lol.
