Could be immunisations could just be a change. My advice is to just run with it. My kids who also well at night all fed every two hours during the day. I used to feed before a nap and offer after they woke too.
The thing with babies is... once you think you have it all figured out, they'll do something to change it up.
If his output of wet and dirty nappies has been good, then don't stress. If you really want, you could try massaging his palm while you feed or breast compressions during.
He's putting out plenty of dirty nappies. Oh well, I'll just go with it! My little chunky butt has been putting on plenty of weight, so I must be doing something right, haha.
I just worry that he won't be getting any of the hind milk if he's only drinking for a short amount of time.
It's pretty normal for them to change feeding habits, Corin has done it ever since he was born. Like haylot said, best thing to so is just roll with it and not stress too much. Doesn't mean things are going wrong, he's just decided his needs have changed. Watch his nappies and if you get lots of wets don't even worry about it :)
If he's just had his first lot of immunisations then he'd be around 6-7 weeks? There's a leap around that age that might explain the behaviour. Do you have the Wonder Weeks app/book?
He's 7 weeks tomorrow, @leese. The app says he not due for a leap for 6 days, however his first leap I'm sure he went through early so that could be it. I didn't even think of that. Thank you!
Same as others if he has plenty of wet nappies I'm sure he is just getting quicker.
Even my son whose 1yr feeds for long as night, there are no distractions I think plus they are can be in a sleepy daze so just like to sit a feed. as they get more aware during the day they find more distractions!! This is fun around 7/9months when they hair constantly pull off mid feed and expose you to who ever ?

Oh, I'll add that he has his first lot of immunisations on Tuesday.. Not sure if that has anything to do with it?
He's been totally normally in every other aspect though.

They become faster and more efficient at feeding as they get older.

Don't fret about hind milk. I used to. Not worth the stress. If he's gaining nicely, plenty of wet nappies it's almost certain everything is fine.
I hope he keeps sleeping for you.
