Border personality disorder

Anyone here have that? I was diagnosed with it a few weeks ago. I still think about it every day and wonder if that's the reason I am the way I am. I wish dh would be more understanding. He tries to help and I very patient with me, but he sometimes just doesn't get that I get lost in my own brain a times. Any advice on how to deal with BPD?

I don't have any experience, but just wanted to comment on your DH. My S/O is like this. He made a comment about postpartum depression this morning that irritated me. I am already fearful I will get it because I've had depression for years. For some reason a lot of men don't understand mental illness. Since you have been diagnosed I think it would be a good idea to sit him down and give him some good info on the disorder. Tell him how you're feeling and that it's not something made up. This also affects him and he will soon realize that. When he does it will be good that he knows all the signs and what to do to help.

I have no advice but I was learning about this in school. I'm so sorry OP. Best wishes to you and your SO. I can't imagine how hard that is

My husband has bpd. He isn't in treatment yet but we are working our way there. If you need to talk I'm here. Odd Thomas's husband also has it and she has been a major support and shoulder for me. She's pretty busy I believe but she would be good to talk to too. Hugs mama.
