Lexapro help please
I started lexapro two days ago. I took it Wednesday night and yesterday I felt so drugged and like passing out. I skipped yesterday's dose and accidentally confused the lexapro and my other medicine this morning. I feel my heart slow down I feel like I'm going to just pass out and not wake up. Is this normal will it go away?
Motherhood ripped from me again... I went for my Anatomy Scan on Friday @ 20wks. I went in expecting to find out if my baby is a boy or girl, but came out feeling like I'm going to die.

Trigger. Lost baby Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?

What strength are you taking? I felt like that for the first one maybe two weeks I was on it, I was like a zombie. But my body did eventually get used to it. You may check in with your doctor to be on the safe side.

It truly depends on what other medications you are taking. Side effects typically go away within about 2 weeks of starting Lexapro. If you are taking multiple medications, pls be sure to advise all of your doctors and have a pharmacist also consult you with spacing of your meds.
Please explain what you did and how you are feeling to your prescriber

You def don't need to start out with 20mg. I have been taking it for 10 years.

I do, but I started on a much lower dose. I did 5mg one week, then 10mg the next. I can't believe they started you on 20mg! I would call and tell your doctor it's too strong for you. Maybe try half a dose.

I took Lexapro and never experienced those symptoms. That's a very high starting dose, call your doctor and ask for 5mg once or twice a day. I'm sorry you are having these symptoms, remember to consult your doctor before skipping doses.

Wow they started you way too high. I had started at 5mg by crushing the pill in half. They need to lower it. That's too much for starting.

Ya that is WAY too high for a first dose. With that particular med, you have to start low, very low, and work your way up slowly. Most side effects happen around 15-20mg. So crazy.

I thought it was high. When I started reading about it online. I'm still having a foggy head and confused feeling. It's been like 8 hours since I took it.
