Tamiflu
I took dd to the dr. Turns out she has the flu. The dr prescribed Tamiflu for all of us. Anyone here give it to their kids? Ds is on it too so it should help avoid him getting sick.
My poor Wyatt is still sick its been a month now and the Dr still has yet to get to the bottom of it back to the drs tomorrow cause his rash is spreading. Switching his Dr Monday after I change his PCP to the new Dr Monday hoping this new Dr can get to the bottom of my son sickness #hestoocutetobethissickthislong #hisdrisdumb

We gave it to our oldest when she was one. Made her puke all over. It was awful.

Its really nasty. I remember having to drink that stuff as a kid myself. Yuck. I haven't ever given it to my kids. Hope you all feel better.

Make sure to take it with a meal. I can't remember what flu medicine I had when I got it but my mom gave it to me on an empty stomach. I was vomiting bubbles, it was so bad.

Japan no longer recommends tamiflu bc of increased adverse effects.
Elderberry syrup is proven to reduce severity & duration of the flu more effectively than tamiflu (which cites it MAY reduce by a day or so) and is much safer.
We also don't treat fever, cut all sugars, push fluids, & stick to raw veggies & soup. We've also utilized mega dose Vit C & up our Vit D3. ACV (a tsp in a glass of water) can also help alkalize the body which makes it difficult for viruses to replicate.
Last 2 times we've had the flu (got it from SIL & her kids), the kiddos were fever free in less than a day & we were all recovered in 3 days (kids were better in 2, I suck at self care so I took a day longer).

Dd didn't want to eat so she only had a little yogurt with the Tamiflu. Should I be worried?

Hey, if she got it down I'd count it a win. We couldn't even get all of the dose in our kid before the exorcism style vomit started.

Wyo, that made me giggle , dd and ds both downed it like nothing. She even said it was good.
