Divorce? Separate?

Many times I see ladies reply to a post saying "I'd leave him!" "Divorce!" Or what not. But if you've ever said this in a post would you really leave that easily?

I was one of those girls who have posted and everyone told me to leave, and I didn't at that time. I did eventually however lol I understand obviously how hard it is, especially how in my case I was so dependent on him (financially, everything), but for me something just clicked one day and I left the next day

Pp, I do know my worth. I also know I'm not perfect and neither is he. I've slapped him in anger before (years ago, and which I wholeheartedly regret).

He's never laid an abusive hand on me. I doubt he ever will. He's a better husband than I could ever imagine. I wouldn't leave if he truly regretted it. If it happened again, I'd know he didn't regret it. I'd leave at that point.

The only time I have advised someone to leave is if there is abuse, infidelity, or addiction. If someone is unhappy for another reason I list it as one of several options. I would only leave for one of the first three reasons. For me, everything else can be worked through.

Abuse or cheating are both deal breakers for us. I'd leave, no questions asked. Everything else, I would try to work out.

I think leaving is much easier said than done. Don't tell my SO but if he cheated, I don't think I would leave. Obviously, if he seems invested in that other relationship, then it would be a different story.

I had a friend who's husband was wonderful to her. He is a good father and seemed to be a committed husband. He cheated and both his wife & I were in complete shock. She decided to forgive him and stay. I don't judge her for that. They seem to be good now.

No, I wouldn't. My husband has done some things that I'm not proud to admit, but I stuck by his side. However he did make a conscious effort to change so that's a big part of it as well. But when someone seems truly unhappy or even miserable I do tend to encourage them to leave. My thoughts are that if they don't want to, they're not going to, and nothing I say is going to change their mind. But I do it for the one person who needs the encouragement to gather the strength to leave. Everyone deserves to be happy in their marriage

There comes a time when you have to say enough is enough.

Sometimes its the first time and thats it. And others its i will give you a shot but thats the only other chance you get.

I divorced. I have 3 kids with my ex. It was the best decision I made, I won't ever tolerate cheating or emotional abuse. I am now happily remarried with a son on the way. So yes, if I read a post which makes me feel that leaving is best, I will advise as I too have left.

If he cheated, I'd be gone, no questions asked.

If he physically abused me, I think I could get over it if it happened once (only if it was slapping--not punching). Anything more, I'd leave.

Depends on the situation. Cheating.. absolutely. Little arguments about cleaning and what not can always be fixed.

I've said that but it's easier said than done imo.

But I refuse to take anymore of that stuff in my marriage. So if he decides to do something so stupid again, I'll have his s*** outside and the locks changed.

Before I was married or in a serious relationship I have always said I would leave if cheated on. However, now that I am married with two kids I would not be so sure. I honestly think it would depend on the circumstances. Yes I would feel betrayed and hurt, but we have been building this life together and have a family. I want this to be my one and only marriage. If it is something we can possibly work past and he is willing to work on himself and take the necessary steps like couples counseling, I would try to work through it. However, if he is unwilling or we are not seeing progress I would file for divorce.

Yes.

& I've made it very clear to my husband that if he were to ever cheat, get abusive(highly doubt that will ever happen, or anything of that nature, I'm gone.

I used to work for a phone company so I know how to find everything in a phone even stuff that's been deleted, especially in apple phones. Lol & He knows that. But I know he is loyal 100% & Committed to our geowing family. I usually only say it when watching some sad, crazy lifetime movie. ???

It depends on what's going on, physical,

mental,

emotional abuse...

Cheat physical or emotional

HELL YES!!!!

I'd be gone so fast his head would spin clear around!!

With cheating I wouldn't confront him or let on at all that I know,he'd come home and find me gone, no note no call nothing I'd just vanish into thin air..

My phone # would change, and I don't have media (fb ect)

So there's no way he could ever get ahold of me.

The only thing he'd get is divorce papers served.

Any situation I've read on here that I've said to leave, I would ?% leave, which cases what they've described and what they've done to try to fix it, and their so isn't helping only hurting them and being toxic in the relationship..yes I'd leave...

Addiction to drugs, alcohol or porn is another deal breaker for me...

Loving someone and in a flash (of event) having to shut down and not be with this person you soulfully set your life for eternity with is such a twist. Like a bad train wreck. Surreal.

I have been there?

Very painful.

Good topic OP. I pray each person going through this has the strength to walk away.

I would try to work it out in most situations except cheating

If I was cheated on, I'd divorce in a heart beat. After I cut off his penis of course.

Yes but Only if he hid the bread!

Eta: in all seriousness, you could never honestly say until you've experienced it. I've always said if I was cheated on I'd divorce. Well, it happened and I didn't leave. And then it happened again but worse.. I'm divorcing now .

It is tough in the person whom is experiencing such a dramatic event. It is easier said. Some of us have stayed and learned it got worse or better and some of us were strong enough to know self worth.

LEAVE HIM!!! Every time someone posts something about their man, whether it be a rant, a problem, or seeking advice, I feel like there are always a ton of woman who just say "leave him"! I'm sorry but 9 out of 10 times that is NOT the solution!!! Don't get me wrong, I think divorce is needed in some situations, especially if there is verbal, emotional, and physical abuse or infidelity! But not because he hasn't helped you clean, you got into a fight or some other "totally solvable situation"! Again, I know men can be a$$ hats and can really hurt our feelings or tick us off... But these aren't always reasons to up and leave!
