My mom had something similar - she has nodules on her thyroid. She got a biopsy and it wasn't cancer. She ended up having a partial thyroidectomy due to other issues. I also have thyroid issues - I have hoshimotos thyroiditis - its an autoimmune disease where your body attacks your thyroid and you end up with nodules(usually not cancer) and an under active thyroid. I get thyroid ultrasounds every year to make sure none of the nodules are growing. Do you see an endocrinologist? Usually mine will stand behind me while I'm seated and she feels my thyroid and tries to see if any significant nodules.
Great. Well thank you for the info! You are always so helpful
Yes just get an ultrasound. It took about 5 mins they took some pics and I got a call a day or two later. I had the same thing happening. One day I was having trouble swallowing and noticed my neck area was swollen. Good luck I hope it's nothing serious
