In Australia they have two. MMR, & meningococcal C & Hib

Here's a list from the CDC of combo shots available.

• Comvax, which combines Hib and Hep B

• Twinrix, which combines Hep A and Hep B

• Pediarix, which combines DTaP, Hep B, and IPV (polio)

• ProQuad, which combines MMR and varicella (chickenpox)

• Kinrix, which combines DTaP and IPV (polio)

• Pentacel, which combines DTaP, IPV (polio), and Hib

My son got 3 shots

MMR & Dtap are standard combos.

Some providers also have other combos are available.

You should ask your provider which vaccine combos & manufacturers they utilize so you can research the inserts on each.

I'm lost so how many pokes then? I would never allow 12.

Most vaccines are combos, so your LO only gets a few shots.

that's how many *vaccines* are on the schedule. Some are combos so they come in 1 "shot"

Hep B - 1

Dtap - 3

Hib - 1

PCV - 1

IPV - 1

MMR - 3

Varicella - 1

Hep A - 1

2. But I never allow more than 3 shots at a time. Even then I only did 3 once. Regretted it.

The CDC schedule shows 13 CORRECTION *12* vaccines on the 12 mth schedule. 13 if your child is also getting a flu vaccine.
