I wouldn't because im extremely picky with who can watch my kids. But I also live very close to family and I have that option maybe I would feel differently if I didn't have family near me
I would be hesitant and probably wouldn't be able to enjoy myself because I'd be so worried Lol. When I was younger my parents left me in a kids program/daycare at the hotel we were staying at so they could go out for a bit though. It really just depends on whatever you guys are comfortable with ☺
Instead of doing that I would check with the hotel. Some have a dedicated nanny on staff, or a place you can drop off your lo for a couple hours. I don't think I could go with someone I found off the internet.
I use to babysit when I was in high school and I used care.com to find families that needed me. If u hire someone from care.com make sure they have a background check done (care.com does it for the babysitters that have premium account). And then have a day that u meet the potential babysitters and see how they interact with the child. And when u find a good one then I would try to always use that person. :) !
If you're staying in a hotel, some have a list of baby sitters that are trusted and go through the hotel. But I have gotten many baby sitting and nanny jobs off of care.com. I won't even leave my baby with family though, let alone a stranger in a different city than I'm use to lol
@happy said it perfectly! I don't trust anyone with my kids anymore. You could always have date night at the hotel. Put the baby to sleep and y'all have the rest of the night together. So that way you'll feel safe. And have alone time with your so.
I am a babysitter and I am cheap as to pay, care.com is a rip off because you have to pay to be able to talk to the other people so you never get a babysitter

Honestly I wouldn't. Is four hours of alone time really worth leaving your child with a stranger?

I have friends that have used it to find a long term nanny, which is totally different. I wouldn't use it to find someone just for a night.

Oops I didn't realize that you were going to be out of town. Then I would do as other suggest and use the hotel nanny.

I got my sitter that I've used for now over 2 years from there and also an occasional sitter as a backup. Great site!

I wouldn't

Nope I wouldn't do it. The only people that watch my kids are my mom and MIL.
