Did your lo get any cold symptoms while teething? Ds is 5 months and teething he is drooling like crazy and chewing everything.. He even chews my nip? but today he has a little runny nose he's EBF. Is it teething? Or maybe a cold?

Runny, stuffy nose can definitely be a sign of teething. As can a low grade fever, pink cheeks and loose stools. My 4 month old is teething right now and she wakes up with a crusty nose every day.

Studies have shown a runny nose and teething aren't related.
I call crap though because it seems like my girls always had the two.

Really @llb? Weird! When DS was teething his nose ran non stop but then as soon as his tooth (or teeth) would come in his nose would stop. Seems like DD is the same way, her 2 teeth are coming in and she's had a runny nose for a while (not as bad as DS was though).

Thank you ladies. I'm just freaking out since dd 3 yo was sick at least 14 times her first year. I don't wanna go through that again with ds although I know sooner or later he will be sick... Poor guys gums are swollen he's teething like crazy I just hope they come in now
