Update: took dd to Dr and her eyes are healthy??... But she was wheezing so they gave her some albuterol at the visit... Thank you all so much!
I would take her to the, my sons cousin eyes looked like this and they took her to the ER and found out she had Retinoblastoma. She only had two options which were to remove the eye or go through chemo. They chose chemo because she's a girl ( her parents words ) in the end they couldn't do chemo because the tube they wanted to put her stomach didn't work and they ended up having to take her eye out. This happened back in November if I'm not mistaken. She now has a fake eye. She's 2 btw. Not trying to scare you but I wouldn't wait.
Thank you ladies .. I will take her asap... I hope it's nothing and I'm just being paranoid. I will update.
I've been through this before. I noticed it on my 6 month old, we we're sent to see an ophthalmologist, thankfully it wasn't cancer or anything serious. We still go yearly to keep an eye on it.
I was a basket case, while waiting for our appt. don't stress, but be firm in getting in to see an ophthalmologist ASAP.
Please give an update when you get some answers. Best of luck.
We have about two other pictures where it looks the same... I will be calling her ped first thing monday... I am so nervous now
Yes, I'd take her in. I can't remember what it is exactly, but it could be serious.
Edit....I Googled it. It could be cancer or coats disease which are both serious, needing immediate attention. There are a number of other things it could be too that are less serious, but not worth guessing which one and waiting. I can't tell if this qualifies as white or yellow, but white could be cataracts or cancer. Yellow is the coats disease. It definitely is beneficial to get it treated early. I hope it's nothing!?
Omg I'm so glad to see this! I've been thinking about her. I've mentioned before that my sister passed away in February this year from ocular melanoma so I freak when I see these posts. I'm so glad you were on top of that and got her checked!
Routine eye exams are soooo important. This is wonderful news!
