Rice cereal
My 3 month old is 18lbs and is ebf. I was wondering about starting him on rice cereal when he is 4 months old. Before you tell me to ask my doctor he said that we will discus solids at his 4 month appointment but the public health nurses say no solids before 6 months and to get a new doctor if he tells you otherwise so I wanted some other opinions.
Op My son is just like urs. He would grab my food and look interested to eat so I tried rice cereal at 3 months and now at 4 months he is eating one new veggie each week then fruit is next. He eats a good piece of veggie purée and swallows it well. I say look at the signs and if he is ready go for it. Like they say every baby is different
Thanks for all the advice. I only thought rice cereal because the nurses said it was high in iron and a good first food. I haven't tried feeding him anything but gripe water on a spoon which he seems to sip off.
I see that no one said absolutely no so if the doctor gives me the go ahead I think I will try something
Thanks
so I will get some s*** for this but I don't care. I have feed both my babies at 6 weeks old. I gave them rice for about 3 or 4 weeks then started them on solids. like you my kids show food readiness and I don't care what others say. I have told my doctor he says he prefers not but that if its my choice then go ahead. my babies are tiny. technically there average but my doctor told me that scale also includes premies and obese children and that premies are a big factor. I use rice on my 6 week old baby and im okay with that. if you feel like YOUR baby is ready then by all means go ahead
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
IUI Monday!!
So today I went in for my routine bloodwork and ultrasound, and found out that I have three follicles at 17mm! Plus another two at 15mm. When leaving the clinic my FS said to take another dose of gonal-f and come back tomorrow to check to see how big they got and that we would do the iui on Wednesday. Well, after getting home, taking my gonal-f and going out to shovel snow (lol) I get a call saying that I am SURGING!!! I haven't ovulated on my own, or even come close to it in years...
My little boy was big for his age as well. 81/2 at birth and almost 22 pounds at four months. He had two teeth up and was sitting on his own at that age. My doctor also told me to start a four months but he had no interest. I offered once a week and he didn't want until 61/2 months. I wouldn't push it but offer. They eat when they are ready.
