Had an email today from DS "father" Can we come to an agreement about child maintenance because he can't afford what CMS (Uk) has set- sorry you had the opportunity to pay before it started to get deducted from your wages. He had the last 14 months to pay but he chose not to, like he chose not to be in my son's life. So you have no choice but to pay me, their fees and pay off the £560 debt you already owe. Wave goodbye out the door. I have never received a penny from you and now you have no choice. You can add that to the DNA fee test you want me to do.
If I died, the state would try to locate him to give him my kids. If I terminate his rights, they go straight to my parents. It's only about protecting their futures. He's incapable of caring for them, but my state will always pursue bio parents first unless their rights are terminated.
@zombie serious question not being batchy lol what is the benefits of terminating his rights? I'm genuinely curious. I get he's not in their life and you will never get the money owed. I have seen other women pursue this option and just wondered if there was any benefit or just the emotional benefit to know all ties are cut?
I don't even feel sad for him because he chose to walk out. He lives in a homeless shelter. He literally has nothing. I may struggle now, but I'm moving forward in life. I have a great job with benefits and my parents and employer are helping me go back to school. My kids are thriving and happy.
Zombie- I have followed your story (not in a creepy way!) and it is awful and I have no sympathy for men like this. It's not okay for them to struggle but it is when we are raising their children. Ex hasn't seen DS in year. I hope you manage to get his rights terminated.
I have no pity for men like this. I totally can relate. My ex owes my kids over $10,000 in back support. He will never pay or get a legitimate job. I'm pursuing terminating his rights since he hasn't seen them in 2 years and has no custody or visitation per our divorce decree.
Ok that makes perfect sense. I would do the same thing.
