Bottles

Can anyone help me- Exclusively BF my son who is 11 weeks old, but need him to take a bottle every now and then to return to work occasionally but he refuses- whether it be BM or formula (We have tried). We have tried 3 different bottles, different sized teats, me being out of the room when he has the bottle. We've tried it all. The most he will have at a push is an ounce. I'm from the UK if that helps.

Dd refused bottles for quite awhile. When I started school dd was 4 months and we'd tried since 12 weeks to get her to take a bottle. For the first two weeks my dad brought her to me during my break between classes so she'd at least have that one nursing session during the day. He kept trying and she did eventually take a bottle, but she reverse cycles- she'd barely eat during the day and then was nursing all afternoon, evening and night. It was hard, but in all it lasted maybe six weeks.

My son is breastfed. My husband gives him a bottle every other day incase I decide to go back to work. We use the avent bottles. It works for us

Try pace feeding when bottle feeding. If u don't know what that is it is were u let him suck for a few seconds then pull it out of his mouth for a few seconds then repeat. Remember a bottle flow is different then breast flow. pace feeding will also help so he doesn't get to much to fast an prevents air bubbles as well while feeding.
