Feeling sad
When I found out I was pregnant I was due to move into a flat with my now ex, and I wasn't able to take my fur babies with me. It broke my heart that I couldn't take them and a friend of mine offered to take them all one (2 rabbits and 2 guinea pigs) and now they are all severely obese and completely over weight from lack of exercise. I'm back living with my mum and she said we could have them back, would it be wrong to ask for them back? I'm not going to be moving for a long time so it's no longer an issue. I thought they'd be well cared for when in reality they're being over fed a completely wrong diet. Seeing them today just broke my heart.
I was in a similar situation once. I had all these fish and no one understood how much these fish truly meant to me. But I went on "vacation" for over a month and had my friend set them up in his house until I got back. And when I did, the first place I went was there to get my fish, but they were all dead. ?
Some people...? OP, get your fur babies back! My ex essentially kidnapped my dog for like 3 months and it almost killed me. When I got her back she was matted and had been having stomach issues because he was feeding her PEOPLE food like an idiot. I get where you're coming from, and it sucks. I hope everything works out!
My goodness. If you hormonal birds want to keep sqwaking over this, by all means do so, lmao.
@lemmytots - Good luck retreiving your animals, I'm sure you can get them back. I scincerly understand how it feels being without your furry friends due to unfavorable circumstances. It won't be difficult to get them back to a healthy weight, I'm sure they will enjoy being able to run around again! Best wishes.
Her statement "sounds rotten". I never claimed that this women"IS" rotten. She has entilement to her feelings about her situation - as do I about how she SOUNDS on this post. Big difference ladies. I see so many neglected animals come in my clinic from starvation, dehydration, pure abuse. Yes, these animals require a balanced diet unique to their kind. But come on, at leaste they were fed! If you left your children with someone you trusted while going through a hard time, while not giving them a specific guideline for a diet- would you be more upset if they were skin and bones, or overfed at McDonalds when you returned? Same scenario, think about it!
@Amethyst and the people that liked the reply, how the heck is the OP rotten? She is concerned about the health of her pets. You have no idea what these animals are being fed. I'm not a vet tech, but I do know that rabbits and Guinea pigs have special diets. These aren't dogs or cats that can be a little more flexible in their eating habits. I think your comment was rotten and uncalled for. I'm sure the OP is grateful that her friend stepped in to take care of them, but it doesn't seem like a good job is being done.
Let me just say that atleaste your animals were fed and someone was kind enough to watch over them as you went through your baby daddy drama. As a vet tech, I can say obesity in animals is far less traumatizing and there are far less repercussions than being dehydrated and starved. Reversing obesity isn't difficult, let them play and run. Be alittle grateful next time? You sound rotten!
I meant my mum said I could have them here, not that she said. (Sorry!)
I'll talk to her tomorrow about getting them back, I appreciated the help but now I feel horrendous that they are being neglected.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Opinions! I’m pregnant with my ex boyfriends third child it is our second together. Our daughter is 3, we split up a week before I found out I was pregnant. He doesn’t want to fix things. And I’ve been trying to sorta ask him to come home but found out some news that completely broke my heart. I sorta started to talk to someone that doesn’t live in my state but works around my area sometimes.. we spent some time together while he was here and he will be back in 3 weeks.. am I doing something wro...
I'm so tired of being pregnant!!!!! Don't get me wrong I wouldn't take my baby back for anything in this world but I'm Ready for it To be over!!!!
would I be wrong if.. I told my finacee his ppl had until sunday to rsvp..and someone rsvp just now..and i sont include them.. mind you im the one paying for the catering...
I need help!!! Something is wrong with my dog and I have no money or job to take him to the vet. I think hes dying idk
Thanks to all other pp :) I'm determined to get them back,
To Amythyst: I'm well aware of the fact that rabbits and guinea pigs have a different diet, and what they are/are not supposed to eat. But they aren't getting that. So when they have to be rushed to the vets because their teeth have overgrown and they are in pain, should I be grateful then? From what I saw yesterday they don't even have the basic hay they need. And regardless of if I had "baby daddy isssues" it never impacted how I looked after them. It wasn't safe for me to take them with me.
