I’ve been following your post because I was told a week ago that I’m at risk of OHSS. I had my egg retrieval yesterday, and apart of nausea and a little soreness, I was okay. This morning though is a different story. Like you I can barely stand straight, let alone walk. My tummy is swollen, and it feels like a (sorry TMI) severe gas build up. I nearly passed out from the pain going for a pee at 6 am. How long did it take for you to feel better? Did you take any medication?

This is exactly what they are doing with me and I’m in Wednesday 22nd (tomorrow) for egg collection I’m so nervous!! then mine are to be frozen For 2 months! keep me up to date!

We have 10 that fertilised. They just called.

5 have been frozen and the other 5 they are going to give them a few more days before they freeze them :) x

I feel a little better today but still very sore.

I had ohss, I looked like I was 4 months pregnant... it was like a mean joke.... so much pain too. It hurt to walk, breath, lay down, pee, everything I did hurt. They initially told me I would be able to go to work the next day, but I ended up being out of work for a week because it hurt so bad. But I was really happy with the number of eggs they got, 43!! My egg retrieval was in April and we did our first FET in July. I hope the pain doesn’t last as long for you as it did me because that wa torture... good luck girl!!

I had ohss i feel your pain. Drink coconut water and Gatorade. Eat High sodium. I did put a heating pad over my stomach that helped a lot. I hope you feel better

That’s crazy! Water is the worst thing you can drink. I hope you feel better soon!! I started feeling better after day 4.

Omg yes my stomach is huge! I deffo look pregnant. I'm only small, then I have this huge belly! It's so painful.

I am kinda glad I'm not crazy tho and being a wimp! I'm glad someone else has been through this!!

They told me to drink water so I have been! I will stop and have something else. I dread going to the toilet! (Sorry tmi) but I feel like I need a wee, then I sit on the toilet and my stomach just cramps like crazy and then it takes ages for the wee to come out. it's just awfulll!!!!!!!!!

Yup. I had OHSS. Worse pain I’ve ever experienced. My stomach was as big as it is now. And I’m 6 months pregnant at the moment.

Stay away from water!!! I made it worse by drinking it. Drink Gatorade or anything with electrolytes. Eat lots of salty foods and try to walk around even though I know it hurts like a mother f***! And last but not least, if you notice the pain is getting worse and your stomach is getting bigger and harder, go to the ER ASAP!!! They might have to drain the fluid out.

I never thought it would be this bad. I feel so sick ? the told me not to use heat pads or have hot bath as it could cause infection???!!! so I don't what to do.

Poor you! No experience with this but it sounds terrible :( I hope you have some meds and break out a heating pad

I can't even stand up straight to walk. I literally scream in pain every time I move. And it REALLY hurts to have a wee. They said that most people go back to work the day after. There's no way I could even think about going to work tomorrow!! I will just have to see how I go I guess ??‍♀️

If symptoms get really bad let your doctor know. You may have to go to emergency.

Have lots of meat and salty food.
