It all sounds pretty good to me! Definitely sounds like an option to consider. I hope everything goes well for you. Good luck!! :)

It sounds like we have the same views on helping others which is nice! I had to go through counselling to make sure I was prepared for the future - if any children are born from your donated eggs they have the right to find out who you are when they turn 18 so you must give your consent for that. They also discuss the possibility that your treatment may not be successful but it might work for the receiver. In terms of differences in treatment they will have to match your cycle to the receiver so you may have to delay your treatment slightly to fit in line with them but then everything is the same until as you say the eggs are split once retrieved. There are some extra pre-treatment tests that you must have as a donor (lots of bloods, internal scan and urine) but i saw it as kind of a health check up for me too. I think it's a fantastic thing to be able to consider and if it helps make your treatment affordable it's even better! I have a plan to start treatment in December ?

My sister in law had chemo at a young age and as a result, has no eggs, so when she went through IVF she relied on egg donors. I think because of that, I'd absolutely love to help other people start a family too, and if that means I get a family in return then I would do it. I just don't really know the process. I mean, if I paid for IVF, then surely is have to increase my egg realise anyway, so it's just that I'll get half and they get half? I wouldn't have to go through anything more than I would anyway? I don't really know to be honest. Is all very new to me. I just really cannot afford to pay £5500 for IVF. I have been told if I did egg share I would get IVF for £500.

Hi. I am currently going through process of IVF and egg share in UK. Being an egg donor does reduce your cost of treatment dramatically but there is so much more to it than just cost. My close friend required a donor to start her family and I feel so great that I can help someone else starting their own family by donating some of my eggs. How do you feel about it?

Short Luteal Phase?

I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
