I tried...
This is going to be long, but I have to get some of this out.
I'm sorry mama, that's an awful thing for her to say but it is definitely not your fault! So don't feel bad.
You did the right thing in trying to reach out, unfortunately she obviously still has a lot of issues and is in a bad place.
My mom told me at Christmas that she didn't care about me and there's not a thing wrong with her she's just a batch lol.
But it has made me even more determined to never let my children feel the way she has made me feel. The fact that you are concerned about ever putting your kids through similar tells me that you won't. A bad mom wouldn't care.
Hope you are feeling a bit better now sweetie.
Your mom sound a lot like my late mother... It seems like your mom has had an extremely hard life. Try and live the life she gave you to the fullest and don't waste one moment! Enjoy your physical health, your mental health, and your children. Send nothing but love to your mother. Keep a safe distance and send love. In my experience there isn't much you can do when someone has given up. Life is hard, some people suffer very much. You just never know, esp when they won't/can't let you in. Hugs.
Thanks ladies. I usually brush it off with a quick joke and move on with my day, but to actually hear her say she doesn't care about me... I don't know. It hit me kind I hard. I just can't wrap my head around it. I remember her from when I was little. She was a good mother. I can't help but think, what it if happens to me too? What if one day I wake up and feel the same about my children? It kills me to even have that scenario in my head.
I am really sorry to hear this. A counselor once told me to take time to let myself grieve my loss. Not the loss of the physical person, but the loss of the person you hoped they would be/the idea of the relationship. It was helpful to me to mourn the loss of a relationship that would never be what it should be. I am so sorry for what you are going through. It is her loss, you're a sweet person and your little family deserves love.
You are not a bad person at all! Your mom has a mental illness and that is why she is treating you this way. She has.chosen to not take her medication and you have done what you can by trying to help her and reaching out. Please don't feel bad and know you have done a lot to restore a relationship.
Oh sweetie I'm so incredibly sorry that you are dealing with this. Sadly, you have gone above and beyond what many children would have done in that situation. It may be that the mental illness combined with her deteriorating health is clouding her judgment. You just need to take solace in knowing you tried.
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I am SO sorry :( Reading this broke my heart. I can only pray that God brings you comfort and peace that you know you did what you could.
