Classic Vs Bikini Cut C-Section
I was just informed I may be getting the classic cut ( straight up the belly).
I had a classic/vertical incision 4yrs ago bc of placenta previa as well. They do them differently now days. Basically my skin, muscle was low, horizontial cut but when they got to my actual uterus they cut vertically, higher up on uterus.
This was two pregnancies ago. Dr thought at first he wanted to schedule csec at 37wks but changed his mind. So this will be two 39wk scheduled csecs after having a classic/vertical incision.
Modern medicine and method is pretty impressive. I believe you will be just fine!
Thanks ladies for your replies. Fortunately for me my doc was very thorough and did an ultrasound first to look at the placenta previa one last time before the C-section.
Bikini cut was the way she went! Boys and I are doing well????.
Umm like their going to essentially slice your ab muscles apart creating serious diastis recti (probably spelled that wrong)? I suppose if they Really really sew that up well and all that, you could end up kinda better off. But I thought overall the low cut was less damaging then the high. :/
With my first and second baby i had up and down c section. The first time was horrible it was emergency one. I was sore it hurt to walk and get up out of bed. My second wasn't no where near as bad as the first. This time around when i have my baby boy in Feb. 21st she said it would be easier for me to have a bikini cut and easier for me to heal and take care of my other two kiddos. It wouldn't tug or pull like the other. But ill have help my mom snd husband.
