During my second pregnancy I planned to have a VBAC but due to high risk pregnancy complications I ended up having a second csection. My ob said she was happy that we did it because during surgery she saw that my uterus was so thin that I could have ruptured trying for a VBAC. Every ob has different beliefs based upon your history. I do know a few friends that had successful VBACs so it's important to discuss with your ob to see if it's right or wrong for you.

I didn't know you could have a regular birth after a c section. my first was an emergency c section so I'm sure I will have to have another.

Oh, and the single most important thing about planning a VBAC is having a health care provider who enthusiastically supports VBAC. VBACFacts.com has a great post on questions to ask your provider. =)

I'm planning a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC)! I recommend checking out VBACFacts.com and visiting the "VBAC Support" forum here on BB. =)
