Have y'all heard about this?!
How to give birth without pushing.
@mummyroo that's so awesome! I never heard of this at all till yesterday. Wish I got to experience it.
With my daughter, the doctor wasn’t ready for her to come. So I was just breathing and relaxing. I could feel her moving down, and the awful pain. However, I could definitely feel my body doing what it was supposed to. I lifted one leg, without pushing her head came out. The midwife told me it’s time to push. So I did push once, not even hard to be honest, and the rest of her body came out! She was so ready to be born. Although we did have some complications in the middle of labour, this was by far my best birthing experience.
With my son I wanted to hold on aslong as possible, because I remembered how much I loved my previous birth. But the midwife was insisting it’s time to push, she told me I can wait a little longer for him to come further down, which he did. So that was 3-4 pushes.
I was told I had to push because my little one’s heart rate was dropping. My body just didn’t feel ready and they ended up giving me an epiostomy and using forceps and ventouse. I wish he had been able to come out of his own accord. That whole experience is part of the reason I decided not to have another baby
