I'm a b cup and I bfed for 13 months.

I never experienced pain, bleeding, cracking, clogged ducts, or anything else.

Breastfeeding definitely bumped me up to a c cup though !

Haha, size doesn't matter thankfully. I could wear an A if I wanted although I normally wear B and boost them up some. I have 1 flat nipple so had to use a shield for 4 mo. Had a good supply. Breastfed 15 mo and start again in 3.5 months :) I actually hear large ones are harder to manage cause you have to hold them back from smothering the babe haha

yup itty bitty here and i've been breastfeeding for 6 months and still going strong. your nipples are more important than the amount of fat in your breast when it comes to how baby latches. milk supply has nothing to do with amount of fat. my baby latches well and i have good supply (ie enough to meet my rather fat baby's needs).

what's important now is to check if your breasts are changing. if your nipples are getting darker and larger in late pregnancy it means the hormones are working right. you can get yourself checked by a lactation consultant and chat with them / attend a briefing if you want to better prepare yourself. but in my experience a good lactation consultant is vital, so do some research on who to talk to. a lousy one can really make you feel awful.

It's all about the glands, not fatty tissue. It's worth a shot, I'm sure you'll be fine ?

I have one inverted nipple and one typical nipple. I breastfed without a sheild no problem. My little guy liked the typical one better because it was easier to eat but when he was still hungry after emptying one side he would jump to the other and empty that one too

A lactation consultant once told me it is actually often easier when they are smaller.

Unfortunately I never did produce much milk with any of my 4children. My breasts never hurt at all or grew during pregnancy (and I gained about 80lbs with my 1st). Never leaked or anything. I had to supplement as soon as they were born basically, just never really produced. But that has nothing to do with the fact I have smaller breasts, it just happened that way.

When it comes to feeding I say always give it a go and your best shot but if it doesn't work out please don't beat yourself up about it. That's why formula was created.

I had inverted nipples and breastfed 3 babies successfully. It was incredibly painful and challenging at first, but it is possible to do it without a shield.

Big boobs make it so much harder! I almost need 3 hands. 2 to hold my boob and one to hold baby.

I was a small c cup when I got pregnant ended up breastfeeding with a triple D cup. Produced oversupply of milk too. Was able to feed dd and then pump 3-4oz on each side on top of her feedings. When she would skip a feeding I would pump 8-12oz per side.

@yaya, id have to disagree as one of my girlfriends who had her baby nearly a month and a half ago has inverted nipples and wasnt able to breast feed her son unless she had the nipple shields on.

Inverted nipples are not necessarily an issue. Modern medicine can't do much for it anyway. Babies can latch on all kinds of shapes and sizes.

Yes, google it and even then modern medicine could actually help you I suppose!

By inverted nipples does that mean that your nipples dont poke out?

I dont have inverted nipples if thats the case

No problems at all for me. I actually made my husband bring my bikini top in so I could see what it looked like on with actual breasts! Mine grew to a DD but settled down to a C cup, I started as an A

No problems at all, my boobs went massive and the size doesn't have anything to do with it. Unless you have inverted nipples nothing should stop you from that perspective.

I wonder if small boobs are easier to BF with?

I have larger than average boobs and when I was still BFing DS I was scared I'd suffocate him lol.
